Saturday 27th January daily betting round up

A lot of football today and we have found a good few betting opportunities to take advantage of.

We will start off with the English Championship and a game that represents some great value.

Wolves travel to Ipswich Town and the league leaders are well worth opposing.

Wolves have lost their last two games and have not won in 4, albeit two of those games were in the FA Cup, but even so, not winning becomes a habit in the same way that winning does.

Ipswich has taken 4 points from their last two Championship games and that will have built some momentum.

Not convinced that Ipswich will win but they are worth backing on the double chance market.

Ipswich wins or draws @ 2.20 with Betfair

A good value double is available in the German Bundesliga.

Both Dortmund and Leipzig have home games against teams that they should beat comfortably, both are playing teams that lack the quality and form to spring a surprise and both are big odds on.

However, when you combine them you get excellent odds and that is a bet we will be taking on.

Dortmund and Leipzig double @ 2.08 with Marathon Bet

Valencia are excellent value against Real Madrid this afternoon in Spain.

Just because they are Real Madrid does not mean that they are nailed on to win, certainly not with the form they are in.

Madrid are in a terrible rut, they are losing at home, they are losing away and they are playing like a team that has lost complete confidence in their manager.

Valencia are in good form, they have won five of their last six games and of course, they are at home.

If Real Madrid play to their talents they will win but there has been little sign of that recently, yes they beat Deportivo 7-1 but that appears to be a one off at the moment.

The odds on Valencia are simply too high to miss out on.

Valencia win @ 4.90 with Marathon Bet

The odds on overs between Wigan and West Ham is simply too high.

Wigan is flying high in League One and have home advantage and there is a very good chance they will find the net at least once.

West Ham is a Premier League team and will take this game seriously, they are in better form than earlier in the season and just like Wigan, they stand a high chance of scoring.

We are very confident that both teams will score and that one of them will go on and ascore at least twice.

Both teams to score @ 2.01 with Marathon Bet
Over 2.5 goals @ 2.49 with Marathon Bet

Friday 26th January daily betting round up

Some decent opportunities this evening for us to take advantage of.

For starters, the game between Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Monchengladbach looks nailed on for goals and to some extent that has been reflected in the bookie’s odds. Both these sides are not shy when it comes to goals in their respective games and the over 2.5 goals look value, even at odds-on.

Over 2.5 goals @ 1.86 with Marathon Bet

Athletico Bilbao host Eibar this evening in La Liga and it is the home team that looks the value for the win.

Eibar is in good decent form themselves at the moment but they face a tough game away to Bilbao and the odds on the home side do represent excellent value all things considered.

Athletico Madrid win @ 1.98 with Marathon Bet

3rd placed Dunfermline welcomes leaders St Mirren in what looks like being a very tight game.

Both teams are playing well in the Championship and both will want to bounce back from being knocked out of the Scottish FA Cup last time out.

It is difficult to pick an outright winner but both these teams score in almost every game they play in and both teams to score looks a rock solid bet.

Again an odds-on shot but that does not mean it does not represent value, it certainly does in this game.

Both Teams To Score @ 1.72 with Bwin

Thursday 25th January daily betting round up

Very poor selection of football today, however, there is one game that does throw up a decent opportunity.

Barcelona welcome Espanyol to the Nou Camp in the second leg of the Copa del Rey in a game they must win or they will be eliminated.

Espanyol won the first leg 1-0 and have had their eye on this game ever since. They lost 3-0 at home to Sevilla at the weekend and it was obvious they had their focus elsewhere.

Barcelona will definitely go full out attack on this one and should really win, but the question was by how many?

The Asian Handicap markets present no value, the best odds have Barca winning by at least 2.5 goals and that is far from being guaranteed in a Barcelona derby.

But what did stand out was the corners market.

This game will be basically attacking v defence and I expect Espanyol to defend for their lives, they will bring a lot of corners and if Barcelona were to score two quick goals then I would expect to see Espanyol start to attack, albeit in no way the same manner as the home side.

Because of the circumstances of this game, you can expect a busy night for at least one keeper and quite possibly both.

Over 10.5 corners @ 2.10 with 10Bet

Wednesday 24th January daily betting round up

The first leg between Arsenal and Chelsea in the league cup ended goalless, that is unlikely to happen at the Emirates this evening.

Both teams will go for the win, a place in the final against Man City is too much to miss out on and with both managers under pressure nothing less than a win will do.

Arsenal have home advantage and that is significant and the days of them always losing to Chelsea are well and truly over with when the Gunners are at home as 2 losses in the last 9 matches played at Arsenal show.

Our opinion is that both teams will score and that Arsenal will win and so that throws up 2 value picks.

Arsenal And Both Teams To Score @ 4.70 with 888Sport
Over 2.5 goals @ 1.83 with Marathon Bet

Charleroi looks great value to beat Eupen this evening in the Belgium Pro League.

Charleroi sits second in the standings and has won 7 away games, drawn 2 and lost 2, an impressive record.

Compare that to Eupen who sit bottom of the table and have won just three times in front of their home fans out of 11 home games this season.

Charleroi has much better recent form than Eupen and even with home advantage Eupen will struggle to get anything from high flying this game.

Charleroi to win @ 2.47 with Marathon Bet

Tuesday 23rd January daily betting round up

Quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey this evening in Spain and we have a great game in store between Sevilla and Atletico Madrid.

Sevilla won the first leg in Madrid 2-1 and have a great chance of progressing, they are in excellent form and come into this game full of momentum.

Atletico is still a top team, they are in second spot in the league and remain one of the best sides in Spain but they are not as formidable as they once were and as the first leg proved are vulnerable against well disciplined and organised opposition.

Atletico have to win that is the bottom line here and that will dictate how this game is played out, Sevilla will be defensive for sure and will look to score on the counter-attack, something they have been doing well recently.

We see a low scoring game and with very little to choose between the sides the draw and a low scoring draw looks the best value.

1-1 Correct score @ 7.08 with Betfair
Draw @ 3.50 with Bwin

There are a couple of games in Belgium that look to be value for the home sides, mainly because the opposition is so weak on the road.

Mouscron look good to beat Kortrijk, they are not a fortress at home but they have lost just 3 times in 11 home games which compares very favourably with the 2 wins in 11 on the road for Kortrijk.

St Truiden also look good to beat Mechelen and for basically the same reasons that Mouscron look a good bet.

St Truiden have lost just twice in 11 home games while Mechelen have recorded just one win away from home.

Mouscron to win @ 2.36 with Marathon Bet
St Truiden to win @ 2.13 with Marathon Bet

Monday 22nd January daily betting round up

As is usual for a Monday there is not too much football on and the games that are on today are a little one-sided, certainly from a betting point of view, however, that does not mean that we have not identified a couple of bets that are worth considering.

Swansea host Liverpool this evening and the Reds are huge favourites and rightfully so.

The Swans are rock bottom of the Premier League, they are a very poor team and the chances are they will be relegated unless they make some dramatic signings this winter.

Liverpool could go third with a comprehensive win and would move 5 points clear of 5th placed Tottenham, they have just beaten Man City, the first Premier League team to do so this season and are on a 14 game unbeaten run in the league.

Swansea has played 11 times at home in the league this season and on six occasions have failed to score, whereas Liverpool has failed to score away from home just the once and that was against Man City.

Liverpool has the form and Swansea do not and based on form and statistics Liverpool winning to nil is the value pick.

Liverpool win to nil @ 2.15 with Marathon Bet

Eibar welcome Malaga in La Liga this evening in a game that they should win but they cannot be considered value.

At home in La Liga they have won 4 of their last 5 games with the only loss in that run being their last home game against Atletico Madrid.

Malaga, on the other hand, has lost 9 of their last 10 away games in the league and failed to score in 8 of those games.

So, you can see that all the stats point to a home win and it is difficult to oppose that based on current form.

But, as stated above there is no value in backing Eibar outright, they are odds on and they are not exactly Barcelona or Real Madrid.

The value pick for us is to back Charles as anytime goalscorer.

In the last 6 home games Charles has found the net on 4 occasions, he is in form and against a team with such a poor defence as Malaga must stand a good chance of continuing his good form in front of the goal.

Charles to score anytime @ 2.80 with Marathon Bet

Sunday 21st January daily betting round up

Great day of betting ahead of us and not just in football, there is also American football that we can look at as well.

Tottenham visits Southampton this afternoon and it is very difficult to see beyond a Tottenham win and a comprehensive one at that.

There is a huge gulf in quality between these two teams and if Spurs are in the mood they could run riot.

The Asian handicap market is the best place to get value and backing Tottenham -1 is well worth taking.

Tottenham -1 @ 2.16 with Betfair

Roma visits Inter Milan in Serie A and goals looks likely being a pivotal part of this game.

Both sides are more than capable of knocking the goals in and over 2.5 goals is surely the minimum that we can expect from this game.

Inter v Roma over 2.5 @ 1.84 with Marathon Bet

Huge game in Holland between Ajax and Feyenoord and another game that one can expect goals in.

These two play open free-flowing attacking football and an entertaining game is on the cards.

The odds on over 2.5 goals are not value but they are on over 3.5 goals and there is certainly a very strong chance that these two will score a minimum of four goals between them.

Ajax v Feyenoord over 3.5 goals @ 2.47 with Marathon Bet

The NFL conference finals take place tonight with a place in the Superbowl at stake and for one team in particular it is a moment of potential history.

The Minnesota Vikings could be the first team to play in a Superbowl in their own stadium, however, they are destined to fall at the final hurdle.

They were so lucky last week with a freaky last second touchdown, their limitations were exposed and the bookies are far too short on them.

The Eagles are fast getting back to their best despite their QB issues and they are far too high a price to win this one outright.

Philadelphia Eagles @ 2.40 with Boylesports

Saturday 20th January daily betting round up

Two clubs that desperately need a win is Arsenal and Chelsea, both the clubs managers are under pressure, especially Arsene Wenger, and nothing less than a win will do.

Arsenal at home to Crystal Palace would have been considered a banker just a month ago but times have changed and this means that the Gunners are not as short as they should be, they can be backed at odds as high as 1.51.

Chelsea away at Brighton would also have been considered a banker just a few weeks ago and would certainly have been far lower than the 1.65 they are currently at.

The bottom line is that despite the current problems both clubs are experiencing they should be beating the likes of Palace and Brighton, they have the players to beat most teams nevermind teams in the bottom half of the table.

Backing either club on their own does not present tremendous value but backing them in a double is definitely a value bet and at odds of 2.47 with Betfair is a great bet.

Chelsea Arsenal double @ 2.47 with Betfair

Leeds United look a good thing against Millwall @ 2.30 with Betfair.

Millwall does not win away in the league simple as that, they have managed just 6 points on the road from a possible 39 points, whereas Leeds United are unbeaten in their last 5 home games with 3 wins and 2 draws.

Leeds United @ 2.30 with Betfair

Man Utd are very short against Burnley despite their impressive away record and it should be pointed out that most of Burnley’s home losses have been against the top 6 sides, but even so, Burnley are a tough team to beat at home and prior to the 2-0 win over Everton United did concede in six consecutive away games.

Both teams to score looks huge value and for those that feel United are the most likely winners then Both teams to score and United to win is also an attractive option.

Both teams to score @ 2.25 with Stan James
Man Utd to win and both teams to score @ 4.20 with Betfair

The overs on the West Ham v Bournemouth game look good value despite being an odds-on shot.

The last six Bournemouth games have all ended over 2.5 goals and 5 f the last six West Hame games have been over 2.5 goals, these are two teams that feature in games with goals in them.

Over 2.5 goals @ 1.91 with Betfair

Friday 19th January Daily betting round up

Finally some decent football today which means there will be some great betting opportunities to take advantage of.

One of the games that stood out for us today was the Bundesliga game between Hertha Berlin and Dortmund and the potential of a big payout for a single bet.

Berlin concedes in almost 90% of their home games and has conceded at least once in their last 8 home games. Dortmund has found the net in almost 90% of their away games and 6 of their last 7 aways, in better words, both these teams score goals.

When you add the fact that 75% of Dortmund’s matches go over 2.5 goals and that we have them as our tip of the day then it starts to become clear that backing them to win and both teams to score is a good bet.

The odds of this outcome are decent providing you pick the right bookies. If you back this outcome with the notorious thieves at Skybet you would get a pathetic 3.75, however, if you back them with 888sport you get a tremendous 4.40.

Dortmund to win and both teams to score @ 4.40 with 888Sport

Another game that has a standout opportunity is the Dutch Eredivisie game between Utrecht and AZ Alkmaar.

Both these teams score goals, the stats are astounding and that is reflected in the betting, as an example the odds on both teams to score is as low as 1.44 and no higher than 1.53, that tells you how likely goals are in this game.

There is very little value to be found, however, Marathon Bet is offering odds of 1.97 that the last goal will be scored between 76 minutes and full time.

A third of the goals conceded by Utrecht have come after the 75th minute and just over a third of AZ Alkmaar’s goals have come after the 75th minute.

On their own, those figures to do not justify the price available but taken together 1.97 is excellent value.

Last goal between 76 minutes and full time @ 1.97 with Marathon bet
